11 "Faux Pas" Which Are Actually OK To Make With Your Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

The design is also better than the competition. It features a sleek, top piece that looks like an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, though not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who require both mopping and vacuum.  Check This Out 's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best option is probably hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. With the app you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If  robot floor cleaner  opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is easy. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people however it will assist you in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the top in the market however, it's costly.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price tag.

But if you want to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has many more features, like stairs and a fully-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
